What To Do To Your Pasture In Early Winter
Early winter is upon us. It is time to do our chores on the homestead. The pasture provides our animals with food as well as protection from predators.
Early Winter Chores
Let’s talk a little bit about what chores we should be doing to the pasture in early winter.
- Fence – Continue to check the fence and make any repairs needed. This is really a year-round task. My husband checks our fenceline once a week.
- Animals – Now is the time when livestock needs to come in for winter. Not so much out in the pasture anymore, it is time for the animals to meander around the barn for the next few months.
