Juicing – Getting Started

12107146_10153099661146022_8930195886372117689_nI have a goal set for myself. Over the next 30 days I will be doing nothing but juicing. First thing is first, time to remove the snacks from beside where I sit each night and spend time with my family. *gets up and moves food to another part of my house*

Next, I need to commit to juicing. Like sign some internal contract with myself that says I, Melina, swear to juice for the next 30 days. I must promise not to hurt my husband or children during my detox phase. (Which I hear can be brutal so I am expecting the WORST over here.) I now need to stick to this. The time to get some will power is right now! I can do this! I will do this!

I already went and bought myself a juicer yesterday. I even went to the store and purchased tomatoes, celery, cucumber, ginger, kiwi, beets, strawberries, mango, pineapple, apples, carrots, oranges, and other veggies to get me started. Picked up some Chia Seed also. I just really like the health benifits of Chia Seed and am including it into my 30 days.  I am using the recipes found in the book that came with my juicer to begin with.

I plan on having one meal a day that is super healthy and juicing for my other two meals.

Additionally, I am a big lover of BeachBody and Shaun T.  I do his workouts religiously. (When I decided to exercise that is.) The cardio workout I am doing during my juicing (and after because the program is longer than 30 days) is Insanity. I have done this program before and I love the way it makes me feel. I am super excited to start feeling great again through juicing and exercise.

I am committed to myself. I am committed to making a change in my diet and living a more healthy lifestyle. I can control and conquer my addiction to sugar, grains, and fast food. I know it will be hard. It’s hard already. However, I want to succeed and I will succeed.
